Job summary

Five Below in Boardman, OH is seeking an energetic hourly associate with leadership potential to support daily store operations. You will oversee staff, ensure fast and friendly checkout, and help maintain merchandising and stock organization in a busy, value-driven environment.

The role requires strong communication, multitasking, and the ability to adapt to flexible schedules including weekends. Prior retail experience is a plus; starting pay is $13.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• College experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all crew members are Wowing the Customer through personal contact with customers.
• Trains the crew on the BEST customer service experience; ensuring that each guest has a fast, friendly check out experience.
• Oversee daily activities of all store associates, ensuring they perform duties effectively and provide excellent customer service.
• Assists with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock for quick placement on the sales floor.
• Acts as Manager on Duty when needed, taking responsibility for store operations, staff management, customer service, and urgent issues.
• Manages opening/closing of the store, securing cash, locking doors, setting alarms, and daily operations readiness.
• Supports onboarding and ongoing training of associates on store policies, product knowledge, and procedures.
• Drives store sales and controls expenses by optimizing merchandising, staff performance, and customer service.
• Partners with store leadership on merchandising and World Recovery procedures.
• Performs store maintenance tasks including cleaning and stock room upkeep.
