Job summary

Wawa is seeking an Assistant General Manager (AGM) to lead daily store operations, develop the team, and drive results. You will oversee performance, profitability, and customer service excellence while supporting hiring, training, and growth of Customer Service Associates.

As a hands-on leader, you’ll monitor performance, coordinate staffing, and implement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency across all store functions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Flexible availability to work weekends and holidays.
• Leadership experience in food service or retail is a plus.
• Strong background in store operations: staffing, training, performance, scheduling, and expense control.
• Ability to implement change and drive results.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure every customer leaves satisfied by gathering feedback and solving problems.
• Provide training for Customer Service Associates to meet Wawa's safety, quality and standards.
• Support hiring, onboarding, coaching, recognizing and motivating the team.
• Coordinate schedules and daily tasks to keep operations running efficiently.
• Monitor store performance, review reports, manage shrink, and identify improvements.
• Collaborate with peers to develop action plans that drive optimal results.
