Job summary

Rack Room Shoes is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in running daily operations and ensuring policy compliance. You will lead staff training, maintain customer service standards, and ensure a safe, engaging shopping environment.

You will assist with POS transactions, inventory controls, merchandising, scheduling, and loss prevention. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and a passion for footwear retail.

Responsibilities

• Manage POS transactions, discounts, refunds and loyalty procedures as per policy.
• Oversee inventory control, shipping/receiving, pricing changes, and markdowns.
• Maintain merchandising standards and visual presentation on the sales floor.
• Handle payroll-related tasks including scheduling and attendance as directed.
• Train and develop direct reports and enforce operational standards.
• Support loss prevention measures and asset protection.
• Strive to achieve sales, service and operational objectives.
