Job summary

Land of Lincoln Goodwill seeks an Assistant Store Manager to collaboratively run store operations with the Store Manager. You will guide staff and volunteers, ensure accurate donation processing, and help drive financial performance while upholding the organization’s mission and values.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Requires 1 year of experience in a leadership or oversight role, such as supervising staff or managing quality control tasks like ensuring staff adherence to policies, maintaining product standards, or monitoring service quality.
• Requires a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Requires CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain certification within six months of employment.
• Occasional travel to other stores and job sites.
• Knowledge of Google/Microsoft Office and payroll and POS software is preferred.
• Works independently while fostering a strong team atmosphere.
• Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.

Responsibilities

• Oversee store operations in the Store Manager’s absence.
• Direct activities of store employees and volunteers to ensure accurate processing and reporting of sales and donated goods.
• Promote the organization’s mission, vision, and values and support diversity and inclusion.
• Train, coach, and provide feedback to help staff strengthen skills.
• Recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, coaching, and documenting staff performance and behavioral issues.
