Job summary

Goodwill Greater Milwaukee & Chicago Joliet store is seeking an operations supervisor to lead daily goals and coordinate associate work. You will ensure adherence to policies and programs while guiding tasks that span from a day to several months.

The role involves directing breaks and production processes, maintaining safety, and ensuring coverage at the POS and donations areas. You will resolve issues promptly and act as a community ambassador.

Qualifications

• Forklift certification preferred or required at site.
• Work experience in a retail or production environment is preferred.
• Work varied schedule and flexible hours; nights and weekend shifts may be required.

Responsibilities

• Directs a variety of tasks including associate break schedules, production processes, and recovery at the end of the day.
• Oversee adequate coverage at POS and in donations.
• Monitor production quality and encourage team to meet goals.
• Function as a service experience leader (SEL).
• Maintain a safe and orderly work environment and ensure safety procedures.
• Communicate and implement policies; report concerns to leadership.
• Resolve employee and customer concerns in a timely manner.
• Address safety/security concerns promptly.
• Plan and manage own work; adapt to change through learning and practice.
• Provide close supervision for routine work; handle non-routine tasks with instructions.
• demonstrate basic knowledge of procedures and methods; respond to routine requests.
• Serve as ambassador for Goodwill in the community; participate in volunteer opportunities.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
