Job summary

Rack Room Shoes is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations, lead a team, and ensure compliance with company policies. This role focuses on delivering a great customer experience and achieving sales targets.

You will train staff, handle scheduling, POS operations, inventory control, merchandising, and loss prevention, while stepping in for the Store Manager as needed and driving excellent store performance.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in managing day-to-day store operations.
• Provide leadership, training, and guidance to staff.
• In the Store Manager's absence, assume full responsibility for store operations.
• Create and maintain an excellent customer shopping experience.
• Oversee POS transactions, including sales, refunds, and discounts.
• Manage inventory control, receiving, price changes, and markdowns.
• Direct merchandising, visual presentation, promotions, and signage.
• Handle scheduling, payroll budgeting, and time/attendance compliance.
• Lead loss prevention efforts and protect company assets.
• Develop staff through training and adherence to policies and procedures.
