Job summary

Rack Room Shoes is seeking an Assistant Manager in Chattanooga to support the Store Manager in daily operations and leadership of the store team. You will drive sales, service quality, and compliance with company policies while training staff and guiding operations in the store environment.

In this role you will be responsible for maintaining an excellent customer experience, supervising POS transactions, and ensuring merchandising standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and welfare of employees and customers.
• Provide leadership, guidance and training to staff under Store Manager direction.
• In absence of Store Manager, assume full responsibility for store operations.
• Strive to meet and exceed sales, service and operational objectives.
• Create and maintain excellent customer shopping experience and service levels.
• Oversee POS transactions, discounts, loyalty, and opening/closing procedures.
• Manage inventory control, pricing changes and physical inventory.
• Lead floor merchandising, housekeeping, promotions and signage.
• Monitor payroll, scheduling and time/attendance; ensure budget compliance.
• Train and develop direct reports following corporate policies.
• Support loss prevention and asset protection in daily operations.
