Rack Room Shoes, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in running daily store operations and to provide leadership to staff.

The role emphasizes policy compliance, customer experience, and achieving sales and service goals. In the absence of the Store Manager, you will assume full responsibility for all store activities and maintain a high standard of merchandising, training, and loss prevention.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of footwear, accessories and shoe care.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Knowledge of Corporate and Store Operations policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in day-to-day store operations and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Provide leadership, guidance and training to the store staff.
• In the absence of the Store Manager, assume total responsibility for all store operations.
• Strive to meet and exceed sales, service and operational objectives.
• Prioritize the safety and welfare of employees and customers.
• Oversee POS transactions, loyalty, discounts, returns and open/close procedures.
• Manage inventory control including shipping, receiving, pricing changes and markdowns.
• Lead visual merchandising to maintain company standards and presentation.
• Handle scheduling, payroll budgeting and time and attendance.
• Support loss prevention and protect company assets.
