Job summary

Five Below is seeking an experienced store-management professional in Costa Mesa, CA. This hourly role involves overseeing crew performance, ensuring fast, friendly check-outs, and supporting daily store operations.

You’ll train associates, manage onboarding, and drive sales through smart merchandising while maintaining a safe, clean retail environment. Flexible hours and weekend shifts may apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and think creatively.
• Ability to maintain composure under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Wows customers through personal contact and ensures friendly checkout experiences.
• Oversees daily activities of store associates and ensures high-quality customer service.
• Assists with receiving, unpacking, and stocking to keep sales floor replenished.
• Acts as Manager on Duty, handling store operations, staff management, and urgent issues.
• Occasionally opens/closes the store, secures cash, and sets alarms for daily operations.
• Supports onboarding and training of associates on policies, product knowledge, and procedures.
• Drives sales and controls expenses through merchandising optimization and staff performance.
• Collaborates with leadership on merchandising and store recovery.
• Performs routine store maintenance and housekeeping duties.
