Job summary

Five Below is hiring for a Store Manager on Duty-type role located in our California store. You’ll supervise crew, oversee daily operations, and ensure a fast, friendly checkout experience for customers.

You’ll train associates on BEST practices, manage stock receiving, and partner with leadership on merchandising and sales growth. This role requires 1+ year of management, strong communication, and a POS-literate mindset.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent; college experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task; creative thinking; maintain composure under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all crew members are Wowing the Customer through personal contact with customers.
• Trains the crew on the BEST customer service experience.
• Oversees daily activities of all store associates and their performance.
• Assists with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock for quick placement on the floor.
• Acts as Manager on Duty, taking responsibility for store operations and staff.
• Manages opening/closing procedures, cash, alarms, and daily operations.
• Supports onboarding and ongoing training of associates on policies and procedures.
• Drives store sales and controls expenses through merchandising and customer service.
• Partners with store leadership on merchandising and World Recovery procedures.
• Performs store maintenance including cleaning and stocking.
