Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a store associate with leadership experience to open/close the store in the manager’s absence, manage cash handling, and ensure a ready floor and stock room for the day. You will assist customers, process returns, refunds, and voids while delivering a distinctive and delightful shopping experience.

You will engage customers, share service best practices with the team, and help coach others in ordering, displays, pricing, and store repairs as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum leadership or supervisor experience in retail or store key holder roles.
• Fluent English reading/writing/speaking.
• PTCB certification or pharmacy license required by state (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Opens and closes the store in the absence of management, handling start-ups and cash; ensures floor and stock room are ready.
• Handles returns, voids, refunds, cash drops and provides change.
• Delivers a distinct and delightful customer experience.
• Engages customers and assists with products and services; resolves issues to ensure positive experience.
• Models customer service best practices and pro-actively helps customers until satisfied.
• Coaches team members in warehouse/vendor processes and reviews order exceptions.
• Maintains inventory accuracy and proper pricing; assists with displays and merchandising.
• Ensures compliance with laws on regulated products and bag checks; maintains store condition and repairs as needed.
• Performs bookkeeping activities and supports daily operations as requested.
