Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor responsible for a defined store area and the general operations while acting as Manager on Duty. You will open/close the store, supervise Associates, ensure merchandise presentation, cleanliness, and a safe shopping environment.

You will supervise front-end operations, train Associates on cash handling, and uphold company policies. This role requires ensuring loss prevention and adherence to merchandising standards in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintains Safe & Secure Environments; safety is the priority and issues reports to Store Leadership.
• Supports Customer Service by treating customers and associates with respect and professionalism.
• Represents the Ross brand and maintains professional appearance per Dress Code.
• Manages merchandising standards, stockrooms, and back stock for area.
• Oversees loss prevention, public view monitor, and Code 50 inspections.
• Supervises Front End operations and trains Associates on cash registers and policies.
• Maintains and cleans fitting rooms and ensures proper tagging and ticketing of merchandise.
• Performs administrative duties assigned by Store Manager, including payroll and scheduling.
