Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a specific store area and general operations when acting as Manager on Duty. You will open/close the store, supervise associates, and ensure a safe, welcoming shopping environment with proper merchandising and clean presentation.

Responsibilities include enforcing company processes, leading loss prevention, and maintaining front-end efficiency, payroll, and backroom organization as part of Store Leadership.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise operations when on duty.
• Supervise Associates and maintain a friendly, safe shopping environment.
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and store cleanliness at all times.
• Execute and supervise company operational processes as needed.
• Lead loss prevention efforts and safety initiatives.
• Manage front-end supervision, cash handling, and scheduling as required.
