Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to manage a defined store area and support general operations while acting as Manager on Duty. The role includes opening/closing, supervising Associates, and ensuring a safe, friendly shopping environment with proper merchandise presentation.

Responsibilities span loss prevention, front-end supervision, merchandising, and administrative duties. Strong communication, English fluency, and prior supervisory experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the Store, supervise Associates, and maintain a friendly, easy to shop environment.
• Execute and supervise Company operational processes as needed.
• Lead Front End operations to minimize Customer wait time and ensure accurate cash handling.
• Oversee merchandising, stockrooms, back stock, loss prevention, and store cleanliness.
• Assist with payroll administration and scheduling as assigned by Store Manager.
