Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a defined store area, supervise associates, and ensure smooth daily operations.

You will manage opening/closing, maintain merchandise presentation and a clean store environment, and support Company processes with a focus on safety and customer service. The role requires strong communication, cashier experience, and the ability to work evenings and weekends in a retail setting.

Qualifications

Excellent verbal communication skills.
Fluency in English.
Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

Open and close the Store, supervise Associates, and maintain a friendly, easy to shop environment.
Ensure proper merchandise presentation and a clean, organized work area.
Execute and supervise Company operational processes as needed.
Maintain safety and Loss Prevention awareness on the sales floor.
Train and coach Associates on cash registers, shortage control policies and other Front End procedures.
Oversee stockroom organization, receipts, and back-stock processes.
