Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a specific store area and lead store operations when acting as Manager on Duty. You will open/close the store, supervise Associates, and ensure a clean, well-merchandised, safe store environment.

The role emphasizes frontline supervision, loss prevention, and efficient front-end operations, with responsibilities that include payroll-related tasks and daily store maintenance.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise Associates as needed.
• Maintain a safe, secure and friendly shopping environment for customers.
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and keep areas clean and merchandised to standard.
• Lead Front End supervision and ensure efficiency at the registers and during peak times.
• Support loss prevention awareness and protect store assets.
• Coordinate administrative duties including payroll edits and scheduling as required by Store Manager.
