Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a specific store area and oversee operations when acting as Manager on Duty.

You will open and close the store, supervise Associates, and maintain a friendly, easy-to-shop environment with strong merchandising standards. Responsibilities include enforcing safety, loss prevention, and company policies; training Associates on front-end procedures; and coordinating stockroom, receiving, and checkout activities to ensure a positive customer

Qualifications

Excellent verbal communication skills.
Fluency in English.
Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

Open and close the store; supervise Associates when acting as Manager on Duty.
Maintain a friendly, easy-to-shop environment and ensure proper merchandise presentation.
Enforce safety, loss prevention, and company processes on a daily basis.
Train and coach Associates on cash registers and front-end procedures.
Oversee stockrooms, merchandising, and back-stock management as needed.
