Job summary

Five Below is seeking a capable crew leader to join our West Orange, NJ team, delivering high‑energy customer service and supporting daily store operations. You will guide associates, help with stock, and ensure a fast, friendly checkout experience.

The role requires at least a high school diploma, 1+ year of management experience, and flexible availability including weekends. This hourly position offers opportunities to develop in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and maintain composure under pressure.
• Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends; may include overnight shifts and travel.

Responsibilities

• Wows customers through personal contact and fast, friendly checkout experience.
• Trains crew on the BEST customer service experience and store policies.
• Oversees daily activities of store associates and ensures excellent customer service.
• Assists with receiving, unpacking and stocking to the sales floor.
• Acts as Manager on Duty and handles store operations and staff management when needed.
• Manages opening/closing duties including cash handling, alarms and security.
• Supports onboarding and ongoing training to improve performance.
• Drives store sales and controls expenses by optimizing merchandising and service.
