Job summary

Five Below is seeking a capable leader to oversee daily store operations and customer service in Temple, PA. You’ll train crew, manage opening/closing, and support onboarding to keep standards high.

As Manager on Duty, you’ll drive sales, manage cash and safety procedures, and collaborate with leadership on merchandising. This role requires strong communication and shift flexibility to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; college experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Management experience of at least 1 year is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Trains the crew on the BEST customer service experience; ensures each guest has a fast, friendly checkout.
• Oversees daily activities of store associates and ensures they perform duties effectively with strong customer service.
• Assists with receiving, unpacking, and stocking of new items for quick floor placement.
• Acts as Manager on Duty, taking full responsibility for store operations, staff management, and urgent issues.
• Manages opening and closing procedures, cash, alarms, and daily readiness.
• Supports onboarding and ongoing training of associates to follow policies and product knowledge.
• Drives store sales and controls expenses by optimizing merchandising and staff performance.
• Partners with store leadership on merchandising procedures and recovery.
• Performs store maintenance such as cleaning and organizing the stock room.
