Job summary

Five Below in Chicago is seeking a Retail Crew/Assistant Manager to lead daily store operations and provide exceptional customer service. You will train staff, manage inventory, and support sales initiatives to ensure a fast, friendly checkout experience.

The role requires flexibility to work day, evening, weekends and potentially overnight shifts, with responsibilities including opening/closing the store and maintaining standards. Minimum 1 year of management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Wows customers through personal contact and friendly service.
• Trains crew on the customer service experience and SOPs.
• Oversees daily activities of store associates and ensures tasks are done well.
• Assists with receiving, unpacking, and stocking shelves for quick on-floor placement.
• Acts as Manager on Duty when needed and handles store operations and issues.
• Opens or closes the store, secures cash, and maintains security protocols.
• Supports onboarding and training of associates to improve performance.
• Drives store sales by optimizing merchandising and customer service.
