Job summary

Five Below in Mattoon, IL is seeking a motivated hourly crew member with strong leadership to support store operations and customer experience. You will guide team members, handle opening and closing, and ensure an outstanding checkout and merchandising flow.

The role requires at least a high school diploma, 1 year of management experience, and excellent communication. You’ll train staff, boost sales, and keep the store clean and well-organized while maintaining a positive, energetic culture.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensures crew provide WOW customer service and fast checkout.
• Trains crew on BEST customer service; ensure friendly checkout.
• Oversee daily store activities and ensure high service standards.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and stocking shelves.
• Act as Manager on Duty and manage operations and staff.
• Open/close store, secure cash, alarms, and daily setup.
• Support onboarding and ongoing training of associates.
• Drive sales and control expenses through merchandising and staffing.
• Collaborate with leadership on merchandising procedures and recovery.
• Perform store maintenance.
