Job summary

Five Below in Chicago is seeking an energetic retail leader to oversee store operations as a Manager on Duty. You will ensure great customer service, supervise associates, manage stock, and handle opening/closing procedures. This role emphasizes coaching, sales growth, and running a smooth daily operation.

We're looking for at least 1 year of management experience, a high school diploma, and a flexible schedule to meet business needs. Starting pay is $17.55 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent
• College experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year of management experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and stay composed under pressure

Responsibilities

• Wows customers through personal contact and friendly service
• Trains crew on the BEST customer service experience
• Oversees daily activities of store associates
• Receives, unpacks, and organizes new stock for fast placement
• Acts as Manager on Duty for store operations and staff
• Manages opening/closing procedures including cash and alarms
• Supports onboarding and ongoing training of associates
• Drives sales and controls expenses through merchandising and service
• Partners with store leadership on merchandising and operations
• Performs store maintenance and general housekeeping
