Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking a Team Captain of Off Field Operations to lead inventory, fulfillment, and stockroom execution. You will coach teammates, drive store performance, and ensure operations run smoothly to keep the store athlete-ready.

This role emphasizes strong leadership, accountability, and the ability to develop plans and schedules in a fast-paced retail environment. Prior retail leadership is preferred and the role is based in-store.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience.
• Previous retail/customer-facing experience required.
• Previous people leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional athlete experiences by understanding needs and providing product information.
• Lead store operations, inventory, fulfillment, and stockroom execution.
• Develop 30-60-90 day plans to support business priorities with staffing and merchandising goals.
• Build and lead a strong team, including sourcing, interviewing, onboarding, and coaching.
• Enforce safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent

1-3 years of experience

Previous retail/customer-facing experience

People leadership experience preferred
