Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking a Team Captain of Off Field Operations to lead inventory, fulfillment, and stockroom execution, ensuring fast, accurate, and athlete-ready store performance. You will coach teammates, manage schedules, and drive operational excellence to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

You will recruit and develop staff, oversee opening/closing procedures, uphold safety standards, and collaborate with store leadership to meet business goals.

Qualifications

• Previous retail leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
• Strong customer-service orientation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage inventory, staffing, and store processes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent athlete experiences by providing product knowledge and guidance.
• Lead and coach teammates to optimize store operations and performance.
• Develop brief plans with the SM/ASM to meet department goals and budgets.
• Hire, onboard, and develop team members to maintain a high-performing environment.
• Enforce safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures across store activities.
