Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to assist the Store Manager in overseeing store processes, supervising staff, and managing inventory and receiving. This interim role supports the development of external candidates for the Store Manager position and is for a limited period.

The candidate will help with recruiting, merchandising, inventory control, cash handling, and daily store operations while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic math and reading comprehension required for store operations.
• Familiarity with cash handling and deposit controls.
• Ability to learn IBM cash register functions and reporting.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Understanding store security procedures and cash controls.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Support store merchandising and stocking per manager direction.
• Assist with inventory management including damages, markdowns and scans.
• Help meet in-stock targets through proper ordering practices.
• Provide strong customer service leadership and daily operations oversight.
• Model company procedures and policies as outlined in manuals.
• Participate in opening and closing store activities.
• Ensure safe handling of company funds and cashier accountability.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store environments and safe conditions.
• Operate store in the manager's absence and review statements for trends.
• Complete paperwork and documentation according to guidelines and deadlines.
