Dollar General Corporation in the United States seeks a Store Manager Candidate to support the Store Manager in processes such as supervision, staffing, inventory, stocking, and store needs. This role helps develop external candidates for the Store Manager position for a limited period.

You will assist in recruiting, merchandising, inventory control, in-stock targets, cash handling, and daily store operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Two or more years of leadership or managerial experience.
• Two or more years of experience in a retail grocery store strongly preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising and staging, stocking and pricing.
• Assist in inventory management, damages, markdowns, scans, and paperwork.
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Assist in opening/closing store operations.
• Ensure cash handling procedures and security practices are followed.
• Review operating statements to identify trends and opportunities.
• Complete all required paperwork and documentation.
