Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to support the Store Manager in executing core store processes, supervise staff, manage inventory, and ensure excellent customer service. This role develops internal candidates for the Store Manager position and is limited in duration.

The candidate will assist with staffing, merchandising, inventory controls, and daily store operations while maintaining store standards and compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Two or more years of leadership or managerial experience.
• Two or more years of experience in retail grocery store strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assists with store merchandising and staging, stocking, and pricing according to store manager direction.
• Assists in inventory management, including damages, markdowns, and paperwork; conducts inventories.
• Follows ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provides superior customer service leadership.
• Acts as a role model by following company policies and procedures.
• Participates in store opening and closing activities.
• Ensures safe deposit of company funds and cash controls.
