The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a Store Manager for our TAMPA-CLEARWATER, FL location.

The role focuses on leading a team to deliver a great customer experience, achieving sales and KPI targets, and upholding brand promises while managing inventory, merchandising, and operations. Applicants should have 5+ years in retail with supervisory experience over a diverse team, and be prepared for Manager on Duty duties, with cross-training across departments as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of retail experience, including specialized knowledge of inventory management, merchandising, and customer service excellence.
• 2+ years of experience directly supervising a diverse team, including performance management and talent development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of the store while ensuring SOPs and company policies are followed.
• Deliver sales plan and KPI targets in line with annual objectives and manage the team to achieve them.
• Lead the execution of our customer brand promises and maintain store standards.
• Staff the store with qualified Team Members: hire, train, observe and coach the team to achieve results.
• Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) and cross-train in framing and production as needed.
• Maintain operational understanding of all store departments and ensure cross-training among managers.
