Job summary

The Michaels Companies is hiring a Sales Manager in Clearwater, FL to lead store teams and drive selling excellence. You will oversee front-end operations, customer experience, and daily store performance, coaching teams to meet KPIs and brand standards.

Responsibilities include managing SOPs, POS systems, BOPIS and same-day delivery, and coordinating in-store programs such as Balloons and loyalty enrollment. Strong leadership and customer focus required.

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and enforcing SOPs and company programs.
• Ensure policy compliance and store standards; hold team accountable.
• Model and coach customer experience and selling behaviors to drive conversions.
• Provide MOD coverage; maintain floor leadership and service standards.
• Ensure accurate use of POS and Self-Checkout for smooth transactions.
• Oversee events and programs like Balloons and in-store experiences.
• Promote Loyalty Rewards and protection plans to boost retention.
• Drive performance in Knit & Sew Shop and Cut Bar experiences.
• Oversee BOPIS and Same Day Delivery execution.
• Support Custom Framing operations and coordination with frame shop.
• Train and develop team through onboarding and ongoing coaching.
• Support Asset Protection to minimize shrink.
