Job summary

The Buckle, Inc. is seeking a Management Trainee in California to support store operations and sales leadership. The role partners with the Store Manager to develop leadership, recruit and train Teammates, and eventually assume Store Manager responsibilities in their absence.

Pay range is $20–$24 per hour. The position offers full-time Teammate benefits, including health, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, paid time off and more, with base pay plus potential commission in sales roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in relevant field of study preferred; or one to three months related retail experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Sales Generation and Guest Service: greet guests, answer questions, recommend merchandise, build a wardrobe with customers, share product knowledge, and achieve sales goals.
• Teammate Recruiting, Training and Development: assist in recruiting and training Teammates, coach and counsel, participate in interviewing.
• Visual Merchandise Management: develop and maintain visual displays and manage product categories to meet Buckle standards.
• Operations: manage flexible schedule, complete onboarding, assist Store Manager with daily operations, maintain loss prevention, handle returns and exchanges.
• Supervisory and Leadership: assist Store Manager, supervise Teammates, prepare to be Store Manager, travel to cover other stores as needed.
