Job summary

The Home Depot in the United States is seeking a Speciality Assistant Store Manager in Training (SASM-IT). This program provides hands-on experience across store operations, leadership development, and mentorship with a focus on Specialty, Pro, and Services businesses.

During the up-to-6-week training, you will learn to execute SASM key responsibilities, including staff planning, customer service excellence, and driving sales and profitability under the guidance of the Store Manager.

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Minimum 3 years of work experience.
• 1+ year of previous leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• 50% Training and Preparing for Assistant Manager Position - participate in a structured training program covering operations, customer service, sales and procedures.
• 15% Customer Experience - supervise selling efforts and promote GET culture while resolving customer concerns.
• 15% Sales and Productivity - plan merchandise placement, signing and maintain inventory integrity.
• 10% Operations Management - perform opening/closing MOD and adhere to SOPs and safety compliance.
• 10% Safety - ensure safety and hazmat procedures are followed.
