Job summary

The Home Depot is launching a Specialty Assistant Store Manager in Training (SASM-IT) program. You will gain hands‑on experience, mentorship, and leadership development while learning Manager on Duty responsibilities and overseeing Specialty, Pro, and Services divisions.

During the up-to-six-week training, you will collaborate with Store Manager, ASMs, Home Services, and Pro partners to develop strategies that boost sales and customer service.

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Education aligned with job requirements: HS diploma/GED and preferred Bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a structured training program covering all aspects of retail store management, including operations and customer service.
• Learn staffing and scheduling, stock control, performance management, and disciplinary practices.
• Demonstrate leadership behaviors and support service needs for installed sales and product offerings.
• Plan merchandise placement, signage, and inventory accuracy with store partners.
• Perform opening/closing duties, follow SOPs, and uphold safety procedures.
