Job summary

Goodwill Southern Los Angeles County in Torrance, CA seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, lead sales, and train staff for excellent donor and customer service. You will help drive merchandising, inventory, and compliance while reporting to the Store Manager.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; flexible schedule incl. evenings and weekends.
• 1–2 years’ experience in retail, thrift, or consignment.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel) and basic computer functions.

Responsibilities

• Assists Manager in daily store operations, including sales leadership, merchandising, production, customer service, and training.
• Responsible for meeting daily sales and operational goals in partnership with the Store Manager.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through leadership and staff training.
• Train, mentor, and motivate sales staff to meet goals and provide feedback.
• Assist with deposits and cash handling procedures; oversee safety and compliance.
