Job summary

S&G Stores is seeking a Store Manager to lead a single unit’s retail operations. The role oversees compliance with laws and company policies, trains staff, and drives sales while protecting assets. It is a salaried exempt position with a 50-hour work week.

The manager will supervise a team, ensure policy adherence, maintain a clean store, and execute merchandising programs. Strong communication and leadership are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience preferred within a retail setting.
• Retail or customer service background.
• Completion of required Company training programs and certifications.
• Strong communication skills and ability to resolve issues efficiently.
• Knowledge of retail systems and transactions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service leadership for the store and team of employees at the location.
• Ensure that employees follow all Company policies.
• Promote and maintain a clean and organized store appearance inside and out.
• Foster an environment focused on customer service and satisfaction.
• Promote staff retention by coaching employees and developing leaders.
• Respond quickly to emergencies for safety of customers and staff.
• Ensure merchandising and marketing programs are executed properly and signage is correct.
• Maximize store sales and educate staff on selling initiatives.
• Monitor store activities to ensure proper transactions are conducted.
• Ensure foodservice products are fresh by rotation and removal of out-of-date items.
• Complete store reports and performance appraisals in a timely fashion.
