Job summary

S&G Stores is seeking a Store Manager to lead a single-unit retail operation in the United States. The role oversees daily store performance, staff training, merchandising, and adherence to policies and laws. This is a salaried exempt position with a 50-hour work week.

The Store Manager will drive sales, maintain asset controls, and ensure outstanding customer service while fostering leadership and team development.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Retail / Customer service experience.
• Completion of the Assistant Store Manager Training program and other required trainings.
• Good understanding of Company systems and technology.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to resolve issues.
• Knowledge of retail business management practices.
• Knowledge of all store transactions and related programs.
• Knowledge of handling customer and employee injuries, incidents and accidents.

Responsibilities

• Provides customer service leadership and direction for entire store and team of employees working in the same location.
• Ensures that employees follow all Company policies.
• Promotes and maintains a clean and organized store appearance inside and out.
• Fosters an environment focused on customer service and satisfaction.
• Promotes staff retention by developing leaders, empowering employees and encouraging productivity.
• Responds quickly to emergencies for safety and security of customers and employees.
• Ensures merchandising and marketing programs are executed properly, including sign placement.
• Ensures the store maximizes sales and educates staff on selling initiatives.
• Monitors store activities to ensure transactions are conducted properly.
• Ensures foodservice products are fresh and rotated; removes out-of-date items.
• Completes store reports and performance appraisals in a timely fashion.
