Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Store Manager to lead the entire store team, including recruitment, training and evaluation of staff. You will manage staffing, inventory, pricing, and customer service to meet store targets.

The role requires strong leadership, organizational skills and adherence to company policies. You will oversee opening/closing routines and ensure a safe, clean shopping environment for customers and employees.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedures.
• Must perform basic math including percentages and cash handling.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit control.
• Experience with inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiar with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, counseling and termination practices.

Responsabilités

• Recruits, selects, and retains qualified employees; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provides training, conducts performance evaluations, identifies gaps for improvement.
• Makes recommendations on pay rate and advancement.
• Communicates performance and safety expectations; coordinates staff meetings.
• Ensures store opens and closes on schedule; manages daily operations.
• Evaluates operating statements to identify trends and shrinkage opportunities.
• Oversees stock replenishment and inventory planning weekly.
• Ensures merchandise presentation, pricing and signage meet guidelines.
• Maintains accurate inventory and cash controls; enforces security procedures.
• Provides superior customer service leadership and maintains a clean, safe store.
