Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposits.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and to perform basic math.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, and termination practices.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, selects, and retains qualified employees; ensures store is properly staffed.
• Provides training, conducts performance evaluations, and counsels staff as needed.
• Makes recommendations on pay rate and advancement.
• Communicates performance expectations and safety policies; conducts meetings.
• Ensures store is opened/closed as scheduled; maintains operations integrity.
• Analyzes sales, profitability, inventory, and shrink; acts on deviations.
• Manages stock levels; follows up on replenishment and cycle counts.
• Oversees merchandising, pricing, signage, and store presentation.
• Maintains accurate inventory; controls damages and losses.
• Ensures cashier accountability and security procedures.
• Delivers superior customer service and safe shopping environment.
