Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager to lead daily store operations and staff. The role requires overseeing staffing, training, performance management and compliance with safety and labor laws. You will manage inventory, cash control, merchandising and customer service standards.

The successful candidate will coach team members, foster a safe, clean environment, and ensure policies are followed during all shifts. Prior retail management experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year of management experience in retail preferred.
• Knowledge of labor laws and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees and ensure proper staffing.
• Provide training, conduct performance evaluations, and address gaps.
• Oversee store operations including opening/closing, scheduling and safety.
• Manage inventory, ordering, receiving, and merchandising to meet targets.
• Maintain cash controls, audits, and compliance with company policies.
