Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Store Manager to lead daily store operations, oversee staffing, training, and adherence to safety and company policies. You will manage ordering, inventory, pricing, and merchandising to drive sales and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, hiring, counseling and termination practices.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to labor laws and company policies.
• Provide training for employees; conduct performance evaluations; identify gaps and counsel or terminate when needed.
• Make recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate expectations; coordinate safety and policy meetings.
• Open and close the store regularly to ensure smooth operations.
• Evaluate operating statements and inventory to meet in-stock targets and control expenses.
• Ensure proper merchandising, pricing, signage and stock presentation.
• Maintain accurate inventory and implement cash handling procedures; secure store.
