Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store manager to lead all store processes including ordering, receiving, stocking, presentation and selling. The role includes staffing, training, performance evaluations, and ensuring compliance with policies and laws.

As a leader, you will open and close the store, monitor sales trends, control inventory, and uphold cashier accountability and security practices. This role emphasizes safety, customer service, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to laws and policies; ensure store staffing.
• Provide training, conduct evaluations, and counsel employees up to termination if needed.
• Make recommendations regarding pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate expectations, coordinate meetings, and enforce safety and policies.
• Ensure proper opening/closing of the store and staffing coverage.
