Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Knowledge of cash handling and inventory practices.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, selects, and retains qualified employees according to laws and Company policies; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provides proper training for employees; conducts performance evaluations; identifies gaps for solutions and counseling.
• Makes recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicates performance, conduct and safety expectations; coordinates meetings and events to encourage safety and policies.
• Ensures the store is adequately staffed and opened/closed as required.
• Evaluates operating statements to identify trends, expenses, shrink, and errors.
• Manages stock levels and ordering plans to meet in-stock targets; reviews BSR and cycle counts.
• Maintains presentation, pricing and signage; ensures proper use of fixtures.
