Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager to oversee all store processes including ordering, receiving, stocking, presentation and selling. You will recruit and train staff, conduct evaluations, ensure security, and maintain inventory accuracy.

You will lead performance management, enforce policies, and drive customer service excellence while maintaining a clean, safe shopping environment. This role requires strong leadership in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees in compliance with laws and company policies.
• Provide training, conduct performance evaluations, and counsel or terminate as needed.
• Recommend pay rate adjustments and advancement opportunities.
• Communicate performance, safety, and conduct expectations; conduct meetings.
• Open and close the store on schedule; ensure proper staffing.
