Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store leadership professional responsible for planning and implementing all store processes, including ordering, receiving, stocking, presenting merchandise, and supervising staff.

You will recruit and train employees, conduct evaluations, monitor safety and policy compliance, and ensure the store operates smoothly with accurate cash handling and inventory controls daily.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of retail management experience.
• Ability to read diagrams, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and inventory practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good organization with attention to detail.
• Ability to recruit, interview, hire, counsel and terminate per policy.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select, and retain qualified employees and staff the store.
• Provide training, conduct performance evaluations, and counsel staff as needed.
• Manage ordering, receiving, stocking, merchandising and store presentation.
• Open and close the store; ensure cash handling integrity.
• Monitor sales, expenses, inventory, turnover and shrink.
• Ensure safety, security and policy compliance across the store.
• Complete all required paperwork and documentation on deadlines.
