Job summary

The Buckle, Inc. is seeking an Assistant in Training (AIT) and Assistant Manager in Asheville, NC. The role focuses on creating an exceptional shopping experience while performing sales, merchandising, and operational duties under store management.

You will train teammates, recruit new staff, and step in as Store Manager when absent. The position advances from AIT to Assistant Manager with expanded responsibilities and higher expectations for leadership, guest service, and store performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; retail experience preferred.
• Ability to lead Teammates and train new hires.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays, with extended hours during peak seasons.

Responsibilities

• Greet Guests and provide legendary service to drive sales and guest satisfaction.
• Lead recruitment, training, and development of Teammates to support store goals.
• Oversee visual merchandising and product presentation to maximize in-store appeal.
• Manage store operations, including POS, opening/closing procedures, and loss prevention.
• Provide leadership in the absence of Store Manager and supervise daily activities.
• Support mission by delivering high-level customer service and driving performance.
