Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to direct all store processes and drive sales in a fast-paced, customer‑focused environment. You will mentor a team of about ten managers and receivers, ensuring compliance with safety and health standards while delivering outstanding customer service.

The role requires P&L ownership, inventory control, and the ability to lead during shifts and emergencies.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in business management, marketing, retailing, communications, advertising, or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of retail experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Experience leading both non-perishable and perishable department operations with integrity including P&L, safety, staffing, training, and merchandising.
• Professional communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail and analytical decisiveness.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, bookkeeping/accounting, time and attendance, and HR software.
• Flexible to a schedule that may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Food safety certification.
• Able to lift 60 pounds and handle physical tasks as described.
• Knowledge of inventory management, pricing, and store operations.

Responsibilities

• Shape store culture by modeling Sprouts values and leadership behaviors.
• Develop the store leadership team to deliver exceptional customer experience.
• Lead a team of about ten Department Managers and Receivers.
• Motivate and develop management through Sprouts leadership practices.
• Drive store sales and customer advocacy with strong leadership.
• Maintain compliance with safety, labeling, health, and sanitation standards.
• Oversee inventory, scheduling, and labor to meet targets.
• Ensure accurate pricing, labeling, and product availability.
• Address emergencies, issues, and communication with urgency.
• Oversee invoicing from distribution centers and vendor coordination.
