Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to direct all store processes and drive sales with a customer-focused team.

You will oversee perishable and non-perishable operations, ensuring programs and safety standards are followed, while maintaining a high level of customer advocacy in a fast-paced environment. You will lead a ten-person management team, train staff, and model Sprouts leadership behaviors.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent; business/retail related degree preferred.
• 1–3 years of retail experience or a combination of education and experience.
• Proven ability to lead both perishable and non-perishable departments with P&L, safety, sanitation, staffing, and performance management.
• Strong written and verbal communication; detail-oriented and analytical.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, bookkeeping/accounting, time and attendance, and HR software.
• Flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Food Safety certification required.

Responsibilities

• Direct all store operations to drive sales, service, and compliance.
• Lead a team of about ten department managers and receivers.
• Maintain inventory control, scheduling, and labor cost targets (P&L ownership).
• Ensure safety, labeling, health, and sanitation standards are met.
• Oversee pricing, merchandising, and promotional execution.
• Provide coaching and performance feedback to team members.
