Job summary

Carter's is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in the United States to lead a team, drive sales, and deliver exceptional customer service on the sales floor. You will partner with the Store Manager to recruit, train, and develop staff, schedule shifts, and maintain merchandising standards across products and promotions.

The role requires at least 1 year of retail management experience, strong leadership, and a focus on an inclusive customer experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of retail or related management experience.
• Strong leadership and customer engagement abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to use standard business software (Outlook, Excel, web tools).

Responsibilities

• Execute workforce scheduling to ensure customer focus on the sales floor.
• Welcome customers and assist with product knowledge and benefits.
• Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for employees and customers.
• Coach team to meet service standards and KPIs across omnichannel experiences.
• Assist Store Manager in recruiting, training, and developing the store team.
• Plan, track, and report tasks and financial results using company tools.
• Support merchandising standards, promotions, markdowns, and product placement.
• Participate in loss prevention through service and controls.
