Job summary

Carter’s Retail Inc. seeks an Assistant Store Manager to lead a team serving families with our baby and children's apparel.

You will greet customers, drive sales, coach staff, and ensure friendly, efficient experiences on the sales floor and in operations. You will partner with the Store Manager to schedule, train, and develop the team, manage store priorities, and uphold our inclusive culture and brand standards daily.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of retail or related management experience.
• Strong leadership and supervision abilities.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Proficient computer skills including Outlook and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Execute workforce management to focus on customer service on the sales floor.
• Welcome customers and assist with product styles, features and benefits.
• Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for employees and customers.
• Assist the Store Manager in recruiting, training and developing store staff.
• Plan, track, and report tasks and financial results using company tools.
• Partner with Store Manager on merchandising standards and promotions.
