Job summary

Carter's is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to be the first face of the brand for growing families. You will welcome customers, promote baby essentials, and help prepare families for school days, while fostering an inclusive store environment.

You will lead, coach, and develop the sales team, monitor KPIs, assist in recruiting, and ensure merchandise standards and promotions are executed to drive sales and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of retail or related management experience.
• Positive and solutions-oriented mindset.
• Proficient computer and technology skills (Outlook, Excel, Web navigation, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Execute workforce management to ensure a genuine customer focus on the sales floor.
• Welcome customers with a warm greeting and provide assistance with product styles, features, and benefits.
• Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for employees and customers.
• Coach others to achieve service standards and omnichannel experience.
• Assist the Store Manager in building and retaining a successful team through recruiting, hiring, training, and development.
• Plan, track, analyze and report completion of tasks and financial results using Company tools.
• Partner with Store Manager to plan merchandising standards and promotional planning.
• Reduce loss through consistent customer service and operational controls.
