Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear is seeking an Assistant Manager to support store operations and customer service excellence. You will assist the Store Manager, supervise daily tasks, and uphold company policies while promoting merchandise and delivering outstanding service.

The role requires knowledge of product areas, ability to train staff, and readiness to step in for the Store Manager when needed. This is a full-time, on-site hourly position in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, preferably footwear/apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to assist in managing a team and meet goals/profits.
• Self-starter with initiative and attention to detail.
• Team-player with a passion for customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in controlling store assets.
• Work with Store Manager on action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Take responsibility in the Store Manager's absence.
• Participate in personnel recruiting, training, and evaluation.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers.
• Maintain awareness of inventory, sales and expenses to support profitability.
• Direct staff to ensure departments meet responsibilities and standards.
• Inform Store Manager about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Ensure quality customer service is maintained.
• Handle general administrative duties and learn Store Manager responsibilities.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and promote merchandise.
